Peter @peterlgrave suggested /demanded that I remove the branches from the Red Browed Finch shot since they were too distracting. So here is the cropped version.
@terryliv Not sure if you are teasing or not with this one... you are supposed to have the thing of most interest in your shot in either one of the side thirds, or bottom or top thirds. i.e. not smack bang in the middle. Although the rule is there to be broken, as it doesn't always look the best to me.
Lovely image, must admit I like both images, as for Rachel's @888rachel comments she has a valid point, I myself think the eye is on the intersection of the right top third, it looks balanced to me Terry:)
@888rachel Ha ha I wasn't kidding Rachel. I have not read anything about the theory of photographs at all. So if I complied with the rule of thirds in the first posting it was purely accidental. I just take them and some I like and some I don't. And there I have been for 69 years trying to get the subject I the centre of the frame. Buggar!!! @pcoulson
