The Blaze

The blaze on the "Dig" tree is now indecipherable and is slowly being overgrown as the tree has healed itself over the last 150 years.

Trees like this always remind me of the hole in the tree in "To Kill a Mockingbird" where Boo Radley left the children presents until it was cemented over.
