The Peake Ruins by terryliv

The Peake Ruins

Prior to the construction of the telegraph repeater station, The Peake was a pastoral settlement dating from the 1860s and later a copper mine.

These are the ruins of the kitchen, the store and the men's house, buildings that were part of The Peake pastoral operation.

It's nice to see it in its larger, empty setting.

A spectacular find in such an austere environment. I have so much admiration for the early settlers, they certainly had a tough life :)
