We were lucky that my wife spotted our blue tongue disappearing underneath the dishwasher last year otherwise we wouldn't have known he was there. Put a piece of his favourite food, water melon, on the floor and he just had to come out for a feed. Caught him and took him back outside.
She is probably looking for somewhere to hibernate. Our resident blue tongue lived under our wood shed inside a tarp each winter for 12 years, but we haven't seen her this year unfortunately,
