The arrival of the white cockatoos 18 months ago was led by a particularly quiet/brave/confident cocky of whom you have already seen a couple of pics. We decided we needed to mark it to know which bird it was and my wife came up with the bright idea of painting it with nail polish. She put some on his foot but we couldn't see it so she marked his wings. Worked well for a month or so before it wore off.
@gigiflower Just this one and its mate were really tame/quiet/brave/confident. Although when they were around and eating out of our hand, the others would suddenly get some Dutch courage and come a lot closer than normal. They had to to compete. The really quiet couple have not been around for a couple of months now.
@stray_shooter She had painted his toe nails but it was hard to see so she put those red marks on his wings that you can see in the pic. he wasn't too impressed with that.
That's completely amazing that a seemingly wild bird would allow you to reach for its feet. It appears in this picture that your wife is explaining to the 'Too the purpose of the applied nail polish. Mr. Too appears a tad flummoxed by the whole deal. Great pic!!
