Day 6 - Kalumburu Road by terryliv

Day 6 - Kalumburu Road

I love road shots. The view out the front of the bus/truck as we made our way for some 200kms along Kalumburu Road to the Mitchell Plateau. This is a fairly typical section of the road.
Can n yo o ou f fee eel the cor r r rug g gations? One of those times when you are very pleased it is not your own vehicle getting shaken apart.

Though rough, it's a beautiful and inviting road!

Wow!! You are really bringing the trip alive. Such long straight roads!! But they are dirt roads - where do the tarmacked roads start? Did you see many kangaroos on the road?

@pamknowler At this stage Pam, we had not been on a sealed road for two days and about 450kms. We left the tarmac at the start of the Gibb River Road - where I took this pic http://365project.org/terryliv/from-the-archiv/2015-01-16
Not only is the road unsealed, but it is mostly badly corrugated.

@pamknowler It wasn't 450kms Pam but more like 600kms.
