Day 11 - Great Bower Bird, Kununurra

The Great Bower Bird is the largest of the bower birds and is endemic to the coastal regions of northern Australia from the Kimberley, through the Northern Territory and into tropical North Queensland.

Nice photo. Are these the birds that imitate all sorts of sounds? I think I saw one on a David Attenborough documentary once....

Nice shot Terry.There was a loud noise one morning while we were still in bed and a young one of them had run into the side the house being chased by a pee wee.I went out but it had a broken neck.
