I have mentioned the road trains of outback Oz a couple of times so here is a couple of shots of one of them. Four trailer road trains are very common on the outback main roads.
To say it is a bit scary when you meet one of them coming at you at 100kph on an outback bulldust road is a bit of an understatement. They are also buggars to overtake.
I have never seen anything like this in Europe - don't know if the US or Canada has them.
I haven't been able to update the map yet but we are on our way from Kununurra to Purnululu (aka The Bungle Bungles) WooHoo!!!!
My apologies but have had no opportunity to comment for the past few days and limited opportunity to post.
Wow they are as long as a train! I bet they are really scary as you say coming at you at speed! I am glad we don't have these on our roads! I have enough trouble overtaking a big lorry as it is! Lol! Really interesting collage!
Fabulous shot. I have a friend who used to drive one of these amazing road trains. If you saw my friend you wouldn't believe it. She is a 72 year old now and there is no way you would ever think that this was on her CV in the past.
