Outside The Perimeter

As I was taking today's picture of an Army Elk (posted on my Ecletica album for today) on the grounds of the Defense Supply Center, this Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) landed on a tree branch outside the perimeter.

The odd pattern of the tree bark in the background is actually caused by the chainlink fence (topped with barbed wire) that marks the base perimeter, just in front of the tree.
