We had a sudden cold snap with the impending autumnal equinox. Overnight, it got down to 45 degrees (or 7C). Last week's overnight low temperatures were around 65F / 18C.
This juvenile rat snake got caught above ground when the mercury plummeted. It wasn't dead, just very, very sluggish.
