The Missus and I had an appointment at a place about a half-hour drive from home and we took advantage of our trip to check out a park we hadn't been to before.
Three Lakes Park & Nature Center was filled with birds...woodpeckers (pileated, red-bellied, and downy), kingfishers, thrushes, cardinals, warblers, titmice, geese, as well as the heron in one of my other pictures from today.
This Double-crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus) came in to land on one of the lakes as we walked around.
Alway nice to explore new parks. Since I stated this 365 I have learned so many [arks in my area I had never heard about. Nice capture of the Double-crested Cormorant in flight.
