I would love to see it in a few weeks, those creepers sure look very sturdy and old. I suppose when they get removed the house might be in quite a sorry state. A fabulous find and capture all the same.
If you tell me where it is I 'might' be able to stop by and get an in bloom version to show people - but like everyone else, all I'm thinking is "surely that cant be good for the house!"
@tinley23 just opposite the path from car park to Lodore falls which says it welcomes muddy boots? A friend and I want to go up to Keswick again on the bus - and then we could get the Seatoller one - put in a walk of some sort and have lunch at Mary Mount. Sorted!!
Wow! I can't speak to the damage this may be causing the house, but I imagine that the foliage would keep the house nice and cool in the summer (that's assuming that hot humid weather is even an issue, I guess).
I don't know if it's harmful. Maybe partially? There was also such a house in Warsaw and all the vines were removed. It turned out that the facade was in very good condition. And the apartments inside started to get very hot during the heatwave. Currently, the vine is being grown again.
