This little gang certainly drew a crowd when we were out shopping. Lots of people were coming up with ideas eg pigeon-parrot cross, foreign bird lost on route to somewhere else, escaped exotic bird, etc. A quick google provided the sadder answer - someone had been dying them pink, supposedly to deter falcons. Another train of thought was that they are being dyed for use in weddings and other ceremonies. It didn’t seem to be doing it any harm, but I really can’t believe it is doing them any favours either. What do you think?
Maybe it is a flamingo pigeon... who could tell what it ate.
Pigeons are annoying, but there's no need to do that to them. I mean: weddings are equally annoying, but we don't spray bride and groom in pink... We, as a race, are twisted.
