Sutton Coldfield is my nearest town centre and I travel there regularly by train. I must have had plenty of time to waste because I spotted this plaque, commemorating all of the people killed in the disaster. The wiki page states that it happened on the sharp bend just before the station. That bend is still there, and the wheels/brakes always squeal as the cross-city trains approach the station from the direction of Birmingham.
