Blue Scarf (Gloucester) by toinette

Blue Scarf (Gloucester)

I told you some days ago that when I was 15 or 16, I began to bring a scarf from wherever I went. So yesterday night I had the idea to do a photo of all of them together. Long story short: For me, it was impossible (there are so many!) and it turned out to be very difficult to even take a picture of one at a time.

Today it is all rain and storm outside, so the light wasn't good either. I'm not that happy with the result, but here we go.

I bought this scarf in Gloucester for 5.40 £. When I was 16, I went on a two weeks students exchange to Ross-on-Wye. There is even a small report on a local news site with me when I went to the local photo competition :)

I was a very shy kid then, but I remember how fast I learned to talk in every day situations. Sadly, I haven't had any English lessons for many years now and I haven't been to GB ever since. I should do it very fast now before whatever happens because of the Brexit.
You captured it very nicely. It is very nice scarf, I like the colours and the knitted effect. I am guessing it would cost a lot more to buy now. How neat you got interviewed and your picture taken too! It sounds like you had an interesting visit. Things are very confusing here re Brexit.....no one really knows what it means, what limits will be placed on trade and people visiting and working here.. We will all have to wait and see what happens.

@stephanies things got more expensive in the meantime, but I can clearly remember how shocked I was when I came to England and saw the prices. By then it was about 1.5 Euro for one Pound. :)

Here nobody really believed that more than 50 % would vote 'leave'. I hope it won't turn out too badly for both sides.

@stephanies ah right, you found the portrait! Very funny, I thought the red scarf on the photo was younger than the blue one here.

A great idea to collect a scarf from each place you went. This one is beautiful - I love the shades of blue and purple.

Beautiful colours and textures. Your English is great. Most of my friends are not happy with Brexit. (I think it's a ridiculous word.). Thanks for the follow - following you.

@365karly1 thanks, Karly! But the idea is not so great anymore, when you do this for some years :)

@gigiflower haha, I also have too many :p

@quietpurplehaze thanks, Hazel! I love your pictures and am flattered that you follow me back! I am very sorry for the nearly 50 % who voted stay. And I am in worry for the rest of Europe.

@toinette

Well thank you, Marie for your comment on my photos. I try to think that I cast my vote and I cannot do more so I try not to worry or even really to think about it.
