Through the fog came two cement trucks. We were pouring the cement pad for a new shed. The grandchildren hit the floor running at the first rumble and were mesmerized by the fog as they are usually never out of bed at this hour. Poor Mopsy on the other hand had to stay on her lead and watch proceedings from afar.
This is a beautiful portrait, and your story is delightful. How old are the grandchildren? It is wonderful to see how the little things in life are new and exciting to the young. I imagine they perceive your home as a place of wonder--I certainly do.
@cejaanderson Jane I do enjoy your comments. The children range in age from 3 to 7. They do love their stays. They have discovered fog and chirping crickets and gone home armed with flowers for Mum, a bird nest to take to school, a bunch of turkey feathers and tales of helping grandad dig up all his grass ready for a new shed. Yes the farm is a place of wonder indeed.
@cate54 Yes Cate, it's the dew that won the day for this shot. I had great shots of the three kids watching over the verandah rail but being animal month for me it was the dew drops which pulled to stay with my chosen theme and upload this shot of Mopsy watching proceedings just as intently as the children.
@ladymagpie She does get lots of cuddles and hugs but mainly because she just sits in front of every visitor and blocks their way through the gate until she's been patted and hugged. She just loves company.
