Echidna by ubobohobo

Echidna

A wet day has kept me indoors catching up on book work and I've not taken time for photography so I'm using a filler which was agreed upon at the start as being within the rules of this theme. In March 2013, I found this echidna wondering along after the floods, all muddy, with bits and pieces of debris hooked in his spines. Haven't seen one since so don't think an echidna will feature in my project this month unless I give it this vacant spot tonight. Enjoy!
Lovely capture

This is so interesting to me as echidnas do not exist in North America except in zoos. They remind me of porcupines.

Such a good shot of its face. I usually only see a ball of quills.
