My husband hates crowds so I was quite surprised when he agreed to my idea to go downtown to see the fireworks, needless to say I took a few photos along the way.
This is the Crown Fountain (or at least one half of it) designed by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa. The giant glass towers show the faces of nearly 1000 Chicagoan's, who at times spout water from their lips. In it's 10 years of existence it has become a great attraction for both children and adults.
(I struggled to decide what to post today, so I have finally started a new album and added another shot from today there)
@anazad511 Thank you! One of the great things about doing this project is it has made me be a tourist here in my own city, which is kind of fun especially as there is plenty to see and do in Chicago.
I love it! So big brother. Really impressive shot with the poeple walking giving the proportion to the big face. I also love the reflection. This the kind of shot I'd like to have in my portfolio. Good work Ukandie!
Great idea for a piece of art - something people can connect to, especially if they feature in the 'collage'. I like the spouting water too - a lot of fun!
@eyesmile Thanks Gena, and very funny.
