We took my daughter to university today, and like any healthy young adult (aka teenager) she was eager for us to go, and leave her to get on with meeting her fellow peers that she will spend the next four years with.
So my husband and I took the time to wonder around campus for a little bit and came across the graffiti covered rocks along the lakefront, they are obviously part of the universities culture, and were fun to look at. I liked this one as advice to an incoming college freshman.
Sublime! It's an instant FAV. Perfect framing, perfect composition, perfect choice from a perfect photographer. You have an eye, don't forget it. I love it.
@vstap Thank you. Thanks to a very generous scholarship she went to boarding school for high school and now she is going to Uni less than an hour away so it was easy to say good bye this time around, but still that lump in the throat moment knowing that she is moving on to that next step in her life.
That is a good reminder indeed! Such exciting time for your daughter, i wish she all the best and hope she never does settle for anything less in life than she aims at
@ukandie1 I thought that looked like the view! My stepson and famliy are in Evanston -- we're about 25 minutes away, in the city. What a great place for her to be in school - it's where I would have loved to have gone or to have taught.
