I have never been one to take pictures of food at a restaurant, I just want to enjoy the food at its best. But today I was not at a restaurant but at the cafe at Ikea. Their chocolate cake is delicious, rich and chocolaty without being heavy, and I knew it might be my only shot for the day. I am on a mammoth spring cleaning purge at the moment,though to be honest much of the stuff I am getting rid of is from when my kids were in grade school, my eldest is in her first year of Uni, and my youngest a senior at high school so I am getting rid of a lot of things that I am only now ready to let go, but wow is it time consuming, but very much needed!
I want to say thank you to all of the beautiful comments and wonderful encouragement I received from yesterday's shot. I do apologize for complaining so much. You will not hear it from me again well at least for the next 30 days :)
St. Louis is getting our first Ikea, now under construction, and our house is very delighted. Looking forward to bites of this delicious chocolate cake. :) No worries on the "how do I do this thing" feeling ... amazingly, it reveals itself (most times).
Great shot of that chocolate cake at IKEA.....I have actually never tried it, but it has always looked good....along with their apple pie. We usually go for the meatball plate, and it is so much fun to take a break for it when in the store! I guess you were also buying some containers to help with the spring purge!!
