I finished my first year with a staircase shot, and decided to end year two with one as well. I did not manage a shot a day this year, and I am not stressed about it either.
I had something else planned for this day, but I got the flu last week, and am still recovering. I have not had it in years, and this year my doctor persuaded me to get a flu shot, and I end up getting it anyway...grrr! Anyway thanks everyone who has commented, fav'd, or even just taken a look at my shots.
Congrats on finishing year 2! Another stunning image! Your b& w images are always fabulous! Huge Fav! Is this staircase on our list of places we are visiting? Only 3 Saturdays to go!
@pamknowler Thanks Pam, yes this is at the Museum of Contemporary Art. I would say that unless you are a fan of contemporary art it might not be worth the visit as it is a small museum and depends on the exhibits (however it is only $12 admission fee), There is also a great staircase at the Art Institute, which is a much bigger museum and has art to please everyone. Not long to go!
Love the shape of the staircase, fabulous shot and congrats on 2yrs at 365. I hear you with the flu, I had it as well and I refuse to get flu shots, they don't work! Hope you'll feel better soon.
What a gracious and elegant flourish for the end of your second year - I would expect nothing less. You are such a talented photographer and I enjoy following your work very much :) Here's to year three - and to getting rid of that flu finally!
Absolutely stunning. A big fav. Congratulations on completing year two. Hope you are recovering well. The only time I have had the flu was after I had the shots. Don't bother any more.
This is a wonderful image, even if I can't work out what exactly I'm seeing! Congratulations on a second brilliant year, you've given me and lots of other 365ers a lot of pleasure with your superb B&W and street shots.
I had flu when I was 12 and then again at 18 but not since so I have always refused flu jabs. This year my Doctor said that given that I am in my seventies and in the light of the things I am being treated for, I absolutely had to have a flu shot... you can guess the rest!
@vignouse thanks Richard! It is a staircase, shot from below and flipped horizontally, I was going for an abstract look, so yay I succeeded! You either got the flu shot and then got the flu, or didn't get the flu shot and did not get the flu...I somehow think it is the former!
Love the lines and strong shapes in this shot. Well done on finishing year 2! Do hope you continue on, you are so inspiring. And I hope you get well soon.
Wonderful strong composition and shapes... congrats on finishing year two. Amazing accomplishment. I do enjoy your photography, so here's hoping for more in year three!
Congratulations on ending Year 2! And what a great shot/composition. I like the strong lines and strong contrast.
PS -- Junko just broke her arm in two places! Egad! Thought you'd want to know.
So sorry you got the dreaded bug! Hopefully now you've built up immunity for a while. This shot is so stunning, the contrasts and dramatic light, and the dramatic steps. I must finally make it to Chicago to shoot the amazing architecture! Well done and congrats!
Whoo hoo! to the second year, looking forward to the third. I need to travel to someplace where stairwells are not defined by right angles. Oh, and FAV.
