Always Go Exploring! by ukandie1

Always Go Exploring!

Sunday was a rather gray day, but it was mild so I decided to explore an area of the lakefront a little farther north than I normally venture. Not great photography light, but it is always great to explore unknown areas and scout out locations for other times.

Yes, need to explore once in a while! Cool shot!

Great spot to photograph from, and I like that little splash of spray. You did such a good capture on a truly dismal day.

I see the Ferris wheel from your fishing shot, the weather does look quite dull but it adds to the atmosphere.

The skyline makes for a great silhouette, and I like the posts as your leading line.

Great light is overrated! I really like this... strong lead line, the splash interrupting the solid black of the city buildings, the detail in the sky.... and best of all for me, that wheel holding its own over on the left balancing the composition. Not an instant impact shot (another overrated concept!) but one that repays study so I'm giving it a fav!

PS Your ISO was 1000 so you could capture that splash just so!
