More Chinatown Adventures

Another capture of the Chinatown Public Library in Chicago, taken from the tour that @taffy and I took. Obviously this is a very modern building, that says nothing about China as we think of it, but it is exactly what modern day China is. The community of Chicago's Chinatown had a lot of input into the building and what they wanted it to represent, and as the docent leading the tour reminded us it is about looking forwards not into the past! It might not have been the most picturesque tours, but I learned a lot about Chicago that I did not know!
@taffy more Chinatown Library shots!

Very interesting narrative and lots to think about. There's a huge hoo-hah here about increasing Chinese influence and money in all sorts of things.
