One of the most boring buildings of Ludwigsburg - the rectangular 14-story hospital towering over the castle grounds and the park. I thought it needs to be spiced up a bit. My first attempt at a flipped reflection picture. The ducks kept thinking I was going to feed them and rippled the water with their movements. Taken on one of the most overcast days we had so far. There was even a random guy who stopped to talk to me how hard it is to take pictures in that kind of light.
Yet you really made it work! IN fact, perhaps the rippled version is more what I think of as Hundertwasser -- especially if you added a lot of color to it!
It has its charming corners, Margo! It has one of the largest Baroque palaces in Germany, wonderful gardens that are so well maintained, change flowers literally every month or so depending on the season, great event program spring through november, so it's nice without being overwhelming. It's very young for Germany though, so you would not find any medieval romantic things here. And I just find it very odd that the city picture is dominated by two very ugly and modern buildings from the 70s - the hospital, and a huge apartment complex built into the middle of the downtown. @777margo
Thanks, Bob! I was happy I saw this - originally, I was walking around the castle gardens to find something interesting, and I never thought that the hospital would be it. @bob65
Thanks! I was pleased with it - I have never done it before, and was a bit annoyed by the ducks rippling the water. But then - it all turned out like this. :) @btwebb
