Not a very artistic photo - just a shot from a popular tourist spot looking at the Hermitage Museum (Winter Palace), the Admiralty building and the St.Isaac's Catheredral on the other side of the river in Saint Petersburg. But if I have to pick a spot on the world map that makes me feel like I am home, this one would be exactly it. My town, my spot, my view.
I was glad we ended up there for a Marine Festival before embarking on even yet further trip North for a week in Karelia. But we will be back to town after that, so more pictures of Saint Petersburg will definitely land here at that time.
Thank you for your visits, comments and critique. In the travel hectic, I really barely have time to visit other projects, so sorry for the otherwise silence.
such lovely gold. I hope you got all your exams done without too much pain... You gave me an interesting challenge! For you, I'd like to challenge you to a high-key shot. I worked on these last week and was fascinated. I saw the wonderful Michigan sand-toys shot you did and hope you enjoy working on this while traveling (loving the Russia shots, btw, happy trails!)
