The real reason we went to Colmar and took the kids out of school for one day in addition to the weekend was the race track event organized at L'Anneau du Rhin racing track by my husband's company. A day of squealing tires, burnt rubber, smoking engines and a large croud of happy engineers testing the limits of their own vehicles. Out of all pictures I took today both watching and being a passenger, this one was by far my favorite. A stolen shot of my son getting ready for his fist lap as a co-pilot. I just loved the concentration on his face. Since this was taken through a dusty and bug-splattered windshield, I put a slight retro-filter to mask the mess.
Any comments, critique and input are very welcome! And thank you all so much for your comments on the last pictures - with all the travel, family celebrations and all, my 365 commenting and responding is falling back again!
@maggiemae :) I think I've already lost that battle. Now at 8, he is already planning on working somewhere where he would get an unlimited access to a test/race track.
