On the way to a doctor's check-up with my son this morning, we saw the beautiful moon going down. I only had my small camera with me without much zoom, so here we go - moon framed by the baroque city church on the market square of Ludwigsburg.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments of the post-supermoon and the church.
Leana @leananiemand, Vikki @summerfield - the focus just "happened". I was trying to watch my 3-year old who was running after the pigeons on the giant market square, so I had to take the shot pretty quickly. That's where the Sony a6000 came in handy. It's the one I carry around if I don't have my Nikon with me and the one that never disappoints. To the point of slowing down my learning about photography, as it does an excellent job in any kinds of conditions. At times I am even disappointed - with the Nikon, I would need to stop and think and be really engaged into the picture-taking pricess. With the little Sony, you just pull it out and take a shot (I usually have it in the Aperture priority mode). It reminds me sometimes of that prodigy teenager who can come and do everything that the veteran DSLRs do, but just without any effort and thinking. Just happens. So, the only conscious part of me doing this shot was thinking about the composition. Pretty much everything else is camera's work, except a minor touch-up.
Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments! I am glad you enjoyed the picture.
