Our cat has a favorite place on sunny days - the sun-lit window sill behind the curtains, which makes him think no one on the world can posiibly see him (or his shadow for that matter) or know that he is there. From time to time, a very surprised/disturbed/sleepy (depending on the day) cat face emerges between the sun-lit curtain panels. I was ready for it today.
