A student-parent-teacher team at my kid's school built an "augmented reality sandbox". The sand is real, but the altitude lines, the color of the landscape and the water are all projected onto the sand. Changing the landscape in the box makes virtual water run off the sides of the hills, collecting in valleys. You can make rivers, ponds, mountain ranges, you name it. You can make it rain on top of the mountain if you shade the projector light with your hands and see how the water runs down the slopes. VERY mesmerizing.
Thanks or visiting!
Love these things! We have a couple places around town that have them, but I have never been able to get a good shot of them. Well done here! You have motivated me to try harder next time I have the opportunity!
@tina_mac I had to step it down a couple of stops, underexposing a lot. Otherwise the bright spots are too bright and you can't see what's going on. Or do spot metering on the brightest light in that box.
