Fort Hohenasperg near Ludwigsburg - this hill's history went from a Celtic site, to a fortress first built in 9th century, to a political prison later located in the historic walls of the fort. Today, it's still a prison and it also hosts the hospital for the region's prison system. We keep driving by every time we get out of town, looking at medieval walls, and today, it was a perfect time to stick the camera out of the car window and take a picture.
