Textures

I know it is "mauvais ton" to just photograph a painting at a museum, but as I was staring at Van Gogh's La méridienne, I realised that the main thing I am staring at is not the color, but the texture of the painting. Which was perfect for this week's Dogwood 52-week challenge theme: Textures.
Thanks for visiting!

Van Gogh's work is always impressive. Especially when you see it in person. Great portrayal of that texture.

Haha 'mauvais ton' - mais non! :) He was the master of texture I sometimes feel... This is so nice to look at.

Mauvais ton. What a lovely word that rolls on the tongue. I love this shot, it shows the textures perfectly, which Van Gogh was all about. Thanks for sharing and a fav from me :)

It does give another view of the painting. For me it shows the lighting as well
