Albrecht Dürer, Lucas Cranach, Max Beckmann, Franz Marc, Emil Nolde etc up close and personal! We took our students to the university's art museum to see their collection of German artists. For this, the museum brings out what they have to a particular topic that is "requested" by the instructors so we can have a class in front of all of these great pieces of art - no alarms (except for the door of their "study room"), no glass over the drawings and paintings, no frames, no keeping distance from the artworks. You can really see and smell them - each stroke of the pencil or brush - an amazing experience.
