Dogwood Seed Pods

Not only are Dogwood trees pretty in the spring, in the fall the flowers turn into seed pods. I just read that they are actually edible! But I doubt I will try one.

Very cool. I don't think I would try to eat one of these. I love dogwood trees.

My dogwood has the same berries...but the squirrels love to eat them before they turn red! They are really pretty

We are not familiar with the Dogwood Tree in the UK unless it's known by another name but I don't recognise the rather pretty fruit.

We have dogwood trees here but I've never noticed the pods. I'll have to check out my mom's next time I'm there. Great focus on your shot. I love the pink colour.

@happypat they are known for their beautiful flowers in the springtime...white and pink and a dark pink. I don't have any posted, but I know you will recognize them...
