Mitzi is 9 weeks old; she's a Coton de Tuléar - a breed originally from Madagascar - and she will eventually have pure white hair. Mitzi came to live with us today.
This shot has no photographic merit whatsoever - it's a pure 'aawww' moment. A somewhat bewildered Mitzi is taking a first look at her new garden and still suffering from the wrench of leaving her sisters and the effects of a 150km car ride, her first time in a car and her first time in the big outdoors.
@anazad511 Thanks Ana... we had to send our much loved spaniel/poodle (spoodle) cross Princesse, off for 'the big sleep' on 31 October 2013 after a valiant fight against a number of health problems she brought with her (she was a rescue dog). She left a big hole in our lives that we now feel ready to fill and we fell for the charms of little Mitzie, the smallest of her litter.
@kchuk You would love to stroke her Elyse - this breed is well named 'coton' which is cotton in english: her coat is incredibly soft to the touch and will remain so, even when she's grown.
"Awwww", most definitely. Bless her little heart — all these unknowns at every turn, it's enough to make you feel scared. I believe it won't be long before she figures out she's arrived in Paradise. (Perhaps she already has.)
Aah, Mitzie is so sweet. This certainly is a photo of merit - perfect focus and great composition. I will certainly look forward to seeing more of Mitzie!
