Tristesse... by vignouse

Tristesse...

Those of you who follow me regularly (thank you!) will know that I post for @se7en on Saturdays and my personal posting on Saturday is always a redirection to that site. As usual you can find my @se7en picture for today here - http://365project.org/se7en/365/2014-08-30 but it's for the last time as the se7en project comes to an end tomorrow as you will see when you follow the link.

So I'm suffering from that essententially French condition 'tristesse' which is so much more existential than 'sadness' which is its direct translation. I think tristesse is, essentially, a condition that effects artists (in the broad sense of the word) so for that much, I'm grateful... mais triste quand même!
Lou
Sad to hear the news, Richard. I've enjoyed watching the project, and your final contibution is exquisite.
On another note, thank you so much for the language lesson.

it is a shame about se7en but I am very pleased you are sticking around - and thank you for the linguistics/semantics lessons - It is a word I can relate to

I am sad too. Loved se7en. But at least we're not losing you.

It is a shame but I'm glad I still get to see your work!

Sorry about feeling 'tristesse'.
However, (big however), so glad you aren't leaving 365 Richard - would miss your wonderful shots of France and your gracious comments.

So glad you are staying Richard. I love seeing your work and reading your comments.

Thanks all - very much appreciated. Yes, I'm staying; I had only been on 365 for 15 weeks when I was invited to join se7en, so I have a project to finish. Now I need a challenge to replace the weekly 'push' that se7en gave me... watch this space!

A lovely post and a word I think I may use in the future, so thank you in advance for giving it to me. Katharine
