My Get Pushed partner for this fortnight, Kali @kali66 , wrote me "my push for you is a momento mori still life". I did start off with the idea of a still life featuring my late father, but whilst I found his army papers and pay-book from WW2, I couldn't find photographs of him in uniform or his medals - although somewhere I have them - so I resolved to do something else instead.
Unfortunately, over the course of the fortnight, the words "still life" slipped from my brain so what you have here is a full-blooded live (if I can use that term in this case!) memento mori... those of a tender disposition may wish to look away!
(For anyone who may not have come across the term, a Memento Mori is a reminder of death.)
Ohh eek.. This is very @graemestevens like.... Very good and a little freaky. Looks even better against the black. Musnt look again I may have nightmares. Right off to find a pretty flower....
@kali66 Hi Kali - here at last is a response to your challenge although it won't be quite what you were expecting as I only remembered just before posting that you wanted a 'still life' memento mori - see my explanation above. I hope you find this alternative approach acceptable!
Hi Richard, thanks for viewing my photos. I am glad you like some of them. I think you right I should try more B&W and also some architectural
scene. I will try this week.
My challenge for you will be to take some action photo that will requires quick shutter speed like sport, action.
And I will be glad to follow your photos in the future.
