Desecration! by vignouse

Desecration!

This is a follow-up to my post for 11 October - Executed! - http://365project.org/vignouse/365/2014-10-11 In fact, it wasn't a single tree that was executed but a copse of eleven trees with a small stone shelter in the middle of them. What you see here is all that's left of the copse today.

This is especially poignant for me because the copse stood at the turn-in from the main road to the little lane leading to our house and I passed it several times each day. I feel like I have lost eleven good friends.
Lovely Richard, hope you are ready for the return of Mrs. S. I am happily alone again. LOL Hopefully these trees will keep some one warm next winter.

Oh, Richard, this looks like a battlefield -- so much mindless destruction. What will be the fate of the little stone house? Oh, its story could be very interesting. A hermit's cell? The home of the seven dwarves? An outlaw's lair? Fav again for the beautiful image, not the subject.

A tragedy, Richard. I hate to see trees lost like this. Sorry you've lost these friends.

Great textures in the remains of those felled trees...the stone shelter looks like it sprouted out of nowhere...nice composition...fav

Wonderful capture of this senseless destruction. Do you suppose they're going to tear down the building as well?

That is a shame Richard. I am taking it that there was nothing wrong with the trees. I like the b and w touch to portray your view

I could weep, so often a kind of mania in the authorities that allows things like this to happen.
