Françoise @francoise asked yesterday what the low-key crowd were looking at... they were looking at this - a laser light show projected on to the walls of the Abbey, telling the romantic story of 'La Lune' - the moon - in prose and verse.
Update:
As I'm actually in bed with the Flu and feeling very rough, I forgot to mention as much as I should have done about this image. It's actually painted by laser light and accompanied by a 4 channel soundtrack. In this image, we pass through the four seasons seeing the plants sprout, grow, flower, wither and end up as a metaphor for the starkness of winter. The moon also passes through its phases as the seasons change and the spectacle lasts for 20 minutes, passing through about 25 different scenarios.
Yes, it certainly did photograph well. And is a much more wholesome activity than the mood I thought the other picture set: as though the spectatators were waiting for a public execution.
@francoise The mood is very different in colour as this is the spectating area decorated with Christmas Trees and lit with coloured lighting. I processed the B&W with a very different idea in mind and then realised I could use it for the Get Pushed challenge.
Great night shot Richard.
