Merlin's Leap by vignouse

Merlin's Leap

These rocks overlook the Val sans Retour - the Valley of no Return - from where the Enchanter Merlin, imprisoned in a bubble of air by the wicked fairy Morgane, threw himself to his death to escape her evil powers. The valley is a few hundred feet below - you can see it falling away to the left - and this is the view looking over the surrounding countryside on a rainy and turbulent winter day.

Still in bed with the flu here... so this is the best it gets for today!

Just discovered that this views nicely on black!
Great mood - chilling.

Richard, this is really beautiful. So sad to read you have the flu -- especially at the new year. Seems more poignant and unfair than normal!

@francoise Hi Françoise - over 20 countries in greater Europe have an Arthur Legend, countriies as diverse as Denmark and Transylvania, and each country has it's own version of the legend. This comes from Brittany's version which is centered in the area where I live.

@frankhymus Frank, I'm ashamed to tell you that I've had flu-jab syringe sitting in my fridge for the last 6 weeks - I just haven't got round to getting the District Nurse in to administer it! A very HNY to you and yours.
