My get-pushed partner for this week - Nancy @nanderson - said: " How about showing us if you were in Hollywood...this is what kind of movie star you would be".
Well Nancy, if I was in Hollywood I would play the older-than-time Wizard or Sorcerer in a Gothic Fantasy movie, poring over the Ancient Book of Runes in order to solve the Aeons Old Mysteries.
Here I am in a publicity still from my latest movie.
@nanderson Hi Nancy - I managed to find time at the last moment to do your challenge... I hope this meets with your approval. I had fun... but now I've got to clear up the guest bedroom!
Oh yes!! This is so perfect Richard..I'm so glad you did it! I can totally believe it too! Thanks so much for playing ...it is always fun to learn a little more about people!
Wonderful expression, great props. Makes me want to jump inside the screen and grab the book from you and start reading. I have to ask: what is the title of the book and where in the world did you find it? On an Indiana Jones movie set perhaps?
@cdonohoue@kt8ird@trinda@hjbenson@kellymansulich A number of you commented on 'The Book of Runes' - in reality it's called "Ars Sacra: Christian Art and Architecture of the Western World from the very beginning up until today". It's a wonderful book; 800pp and it weighs 10 Kg (22 lbs)!
Super Richard. I can see you playing such a part! Although I enjoy watching and reading fantasy I would play the moll in a 30s gangster film (or would have when I still had the figure!) I love your capture. If I could give it more than one fav I would.
@jocasta Hi Joy, thanks for your generous comments. Not HDR, no - but I processed it to have high mid-range structure which is what gives HDR its charecteristic look. The main effect was achieved by applying a Hardlight filter at about 15 pixels radius and then changing the blending mode to softlight, I finished off by applying a 30% gaussian blur to add a bit of glow to the image.
Congratulations on making the front page of the website and apparently I need to check out the TT. Whoop whoop! So far behind and glad to see your recognition. Very well deserved!
