I woke up this morning to a heavy frost and a clear blue sky: by late morning we were basking in the sun at 18C which is definitely not right for the first week of March... but I'm not complaining. I wasn't the only one that was confused by the unseasonable weather as by early afternoon the garden was, literally, abuzz with activity from a wide variety of six legged things, including three different species of butterfly, but they were far too jittery to capture. This hoverfly though was quite content to sit on the snowdrops and pose for me.
A perfect spring day! Enjoy every minute. It will be 6-8 weeks before there is anything living in our yard but I am looking forward to it.
Nice crisp capture.
Well caught. The vignette works in this shot, though usually I don't like them. It brings my eye right to the bug, and it aligns nicely with the petals.
So wonderful that you are having warmer weather! I tried to spy you in the reflection of his eye but didn't catch your reflection. You seem to be having luck with the bugs. Let's hope they stay outside!
Nice crisp capture.
