Vestiges of Autumn by vignouse

Vestiges of Autumn

These are whitethorn berries; left untouched by the birds, shrivelled and blackened by the frosts, but still hanging on. I admire their tenacity!
What a lovely shot!

I like the colors and DOF. I have a Hawthorne with very similar looking berries the robins will start eating next month.

I don't believe there is a berry left anywhere here. Great composition.

The bottom berry is unusual in appearance insofar as it has vestiges of its original colour...months after Autumn decay...and has spots, almost like a ladybird. Call me fanciful, I find it charming.

Beautiful composition and dof. I do love the background colours. We are going into Autumn now but it still feels a bit summery.

Great focus. Is that some greenery in the background? Spring must be in the air.

I like your comp very much. My imagination says that they are hanging in there for some lucky, hungry bird to find them!
