A collection of roofless walls is all that is left of this former seminary built in 1649. The building is now in a dangerous condition and fenced off but these walls still stand tall with a sort of resigned dignity. That a 366 year old seminary that must have been responsible for the training of hundreds of priests should be reduced to this parlous state is a metaphor of social commentary in its own right.
Outstanding processing as usual, great textures and plenty to look at - I always think it's a shame when places like this fall in to ruin, but if it didn't happen what would todays shot be?
Sadly, the whole town is in recession. All will pass, all will change...but not quite yet. The good news is the building, at least its remnants, stand fast..for now.
