The tourist office for the whole of the local area is housed in Paimpont right next-door to the Abbey. Apart from providing the usual sorts of information to visitors, there is also a very elaborate sound and light exhibition which tells the story of Paimpont and the Brocéliande Forest. It has proved hugely popular with visitors over the last 3 years, but now the decision has been taken to completely renew the presentation. The work will take 10 weeks and involve around 20 specialist workers.
The tourist office have asked me to document the renovation, so every couple of days I pop in and capture the latest activities. There is virtually no natural light so I am having to work with what artificial lighting there is - usually movable lamps placed according to where work is taking place. This is Alain pictured today fixing a partition in place.
