I walked up here yesterday from the Monks' Garden. Having disposed of withered flowers, couldn't open the door into the corridor in spite of much clicking etc. My only escape was via this little known path. Checked door from the other side...seemingly OK. Clearly doesn’t like cold crisp mornings!
