Mrs S was off out to the dog training club with Mitzi this afternoon (progress there is, but very slow!) so as it was a bright sunny afternoon - but very cold - I took a run over to Les Forges. As February is B&W month on 365, I thought that some of the old industrial buildings would make a a great monochrome image. In the event, the shot I posted for today is of one of the worker's cottages, off to the left behind the church which can be glimpsed in this photo. This view is looking out of the industrial complex towards some of the residential buildings and I like that it shows how this was an industrial village complete with its own church (now disused and somewhat derelict) at its heart.
The bw was beautiful but I had the curiosity about what the place would look like in color. So I get a taste of both. But you got glorious sunshine and I was in clouds and freezing all day. Big storm coming. Feel like it is overtaking my life.
