The dead and faded rose which featured in my main 365 album yesterday, had to be rescued from the compost bucket to which Mrs S had consigned it. Luckily I found out before the bucket was taken out to the compost bin but I had to give in today and they have gone off to be composted down and will give nourishment to next year's roses in the garden... such is the cycle of nature.
These roses earned their keep, big time. It must be a month since I brought them from the supermarket. Backlit by sunlight and the cool of the nightiime, they've given us pleasure and having been featured on 365, they've brought worldwide pleasure. And their heritage will be to provide nutrient for other plants.
