Wind Turbines - one more. by vignouse

Wind Turbines - one more.

I wasn't intending to post any more wind-turbine shots - at least not for a while - and then today I passed a turbine some 300-400 metres away across the fields and saw that there was a maintenance crew at work in a suspended cradle. I didn't have a long lens with me so this image is heavily cropped.

No comments necessary - I just thought that this was interesting enough to share for its own sake.
Really gives you perspective on the size of the thing.

Great shot. They look so small against the turbine!

One doesn't get a sense of how large these things are without a reference scale. The people on the lift really provide a dramatic scale comparison. It's rare that you can get that shot. Good job.

This really shows how huge these wind turbines are.

When you see these guys working here it really gives you an idea of just how large they are.

Well now, that is a very different wind turbine shoot, gives us the scale and how interesting.

What a huge structure. Great how you showed the scale with the work crew. Just the sort of infrastructure shot I favor a lot.

Haha, puts them in perspective! A very unusual shot - Lucy

Really interesting capture - so glad you posted it! I have had the chance to climb to the top of one of these in Norfolk, England. You get the feel of it swaying everso slightly!

@helly31 Hi Helen - now you've got me really jealous. I would LOVE to go up to the top of one of these and, even more interesting, actually see the 'works'.
