My Get Pushed partner for this fortnight, Kali @kali66 , wrote, "My push for you is a momento mori still life". I did start off with the idea of a still life featuring my late father, but whilst I found his army papers and pay-book from WW2, I couldn't find photographs of him in uniform or his medals - although somewhere I have them - so I resolved to do something else instead.
Unfortunately, over the course of the fortnight, the words "still life" slipped from my brain so what I first produced (see my main 365 album) was a full-blooded, somewhat gruesome, memento mori!
In order to fulfill my challenge, here's a very last minute, quick & dirty still life memento mori.
(For anyone who may not have come across the term, a Memento Mori is a reminder of death.)
@kali66 Hi Kali - in order to redress my error and provide the memento mori still life that you challenged me to do - here's a very last minute, quick & dirty effort which I hope will get me off the hook! I had a lot of fun doing both images, but they both fall well shot of your amazing response to my challenge to you... well done again.
i love your title, and I also like the composition with the black and white sections. It is nice to remember loved ones in a tribute shot, nicely done in a simple fashion
