Wishbone Day - The Staff of Life by vignouse

Wishbone Day - The Staff of Life

This is a follow-up to Wishbone Day - the awareness day for Brittle Bone Disease (OI): http://www.wishboneday.com/ The chosen colour for those wishing to show their support is yellow. Today I passed by this bakery - closed for the holiday today - and it struck me what a great parallel this was. Bread is said to be the staff of life and a greater awareness of this disease could be the staff of life for its sufferers too.
@joansmor Another one for you and Nikki.

Wow so wonderful. I know Nikki and her husband are enjoying the pictures and this is a spectacular one.

@joansmor Just a shame it was closed for the public holiday today Joan, otherwise there would have been a warm golden light spilling out and lots of golden baguettes stacked up inside.

@vignouse And some baguettes in your shopping bag?

Nice.

sounds like another shot (with the light spilling out etc) will be forthcoming. That is quite a brilliant yellow; looks so orderly.

@francoise Thanks Françoise - apart from cropping out the adjacent shops, it's pretty much SOOC. I've photographed our local bakery at dusk several times but I haven't got a shot I like yet... it will have to wait until next autumn/winter now.

Lovely capture, color and reflection, Richard!

Another well composed shot with a lovely pop of yellow... So nice of you to highlight Wishbone Day. This looks to be a charming shop, so the fall/winter shots promise to be pretty.
